In just 2 days, Hollywood stars will be making their way to Dallas for this year’s Fan Expo Dallas convention! This year’s guest list is jam packed, and not lacking stars that will be representing the horror genre, from shows such as The Walking Dead, and Stranger Things, along with a handful of other actors who may not be known for their work in horror, but have contributed to the community by starring in some horror films.
If you were excited to meet The Walking Dead and Stranger Things stars that were scheduled to be at Texas Frightmare Weekend last year, but disappointed when they had to cancel, you’re in luck because they’ll be at Dallas Fan Expo this weekend. The Walking Dead’s Tom Payne (Jesus), and Austin Amelio (Dwight) will be attending the convention on Friday and Saturday, with a panel with the two of them scheduled to take place Friday night, April 6th, at 5 pm in room D2. You can meet Stranger Things stars Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Sadie Sink (Max) at the convention on Saturday, and Sunday, and catch their panel on Sunday April 8th, at 12:30 om in the main theatre. There will also be a The Walking Dead themed meetup on Saturday, April 7th, at 3 pm in the cosplay photo park, and a Stranger Things themed meetup Sunday, April 8th, at 12 pm in the cosplay photo park. These meetups are simply a time and place for fans and cosplayers of the designated shows to meetup and make new friends who love the same things you do!
Along with the aforementioned stars who are there because of their current work in the horror genre, several of the other guests have also spent time working in the genre. The biggest of those being headlining guest, Jeff Goldblum, known for being Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic Park films, as well as his role as Seth Brundle in the 1986 remake of The Fly. Another big name in Hollywood and huge get for this year’s show is Ben Affleck who you can watch as DC’s current Bruce Wayne/Batman, or in the horror film Phantoms form 1998. This will be Affleck’s first convention appearance. Also in attendance are Amy Acker (The Cabin in The Woods, Angel), Gregg Sulkin (Don’t Hang Up), Cary Elwes (Saw), Felicia Day (Supernatural), and many more.
