October is Breathing Down Our Necks

What do we have in store for October?  I don’t know about other websites, but we have a couple of big time events coming up for you in October…

ABCs of Horror

abcs

The ABCs of Horror is a month long event.  Each staff writer got the chance to pick a movie for each day, we did spread the letters out and randomly assign letters to each Syndicate member.  October 1st will be the letter A and we will end with the letter Z on October 26th.  We will share memories and do a mini review for each movie…Can you guess what we have in store for the letters Q and X?

28th House of 1,000 Corpses (2001)

29th Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

The votes are in and the movies have been averaged out.  You have seen our lists for the 1990s, 2000s, 1980s and 1970s…you either love the or hate them, now it is time for the Top 100 of All-time.  This is our first attempt and as the Syndicate changes, so will the list.

The list was made up of over 200 horror movies and broken into decades.  We ranked each movie in 5 categories on a scale of 1 to 10 and then averaged them out.  After they were averaged out, they were put worst to best.

So, join us, check us out, follow the Syndicate on Twitter and on Facebook.  We encourage you to voice your opinion, get made at our decisions if you need to.

I have been watching horror films since I was 6 years old. The story, one Saturday night, my mom and I were watching movies and she fell asleep on the couch. We had the channel set on HBO and the movie we were watching ended and the next one, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. This was some time in 1986. I watched then entire film, I was sitting on the edge of my seat. When my mom woke, she asked me what just ended and I told her, “Freddy”. That was all I talked about for weeks and finally she broke down and rented more horror films for me. She rented, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 2, Re-Animator, Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives and Halloween II.
