Werewolf Weekly is a live discussion show that is broadcast on The Horror Syndicate’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. The mission of this show is to shine a light on all things involving werewolves – from movies to television series to books and comics, and eventually, even true-life lore and mythologies – covering the great and not-so-great tales within this specific subgenre of horror.
The intent of creating a master list of topics and doing these shows as live broadcasts instead of pre-recorded videos is to engage with an audience of people, challenging them to explore each of these topics and engage in discourse surrounding them.
Yes, there are a lot of truly terrible works within the subgenre that will be covered, and depending on the individual audience member’s tolerance for enduring low-quality storytelling, the engagement in said topics is a difficult ask, but that’s the challenge of this show: let’s go beyond “This movie is awesome” or “This movie sucks” and discuss in a bit more detail why each topic succeeds or fails.
We cover some basic things, such as pros and cons, as well as writing, direction, action, score and etc. The real fun follows with discussions on werewolf related sub-topics, such as werewolf design, werewolf action, werewolf transformation, werewolf lore, etc.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to join me on this journey through the good, the bad, and the ugly of horror’s most terrifying creatures.
