It was less than 10 days ago that we reported the Friday the 13th Reboot, remake was casting and a working title had been released. Friday the 13th part 13 was looking to cast a young Jason and his father Elias. Now from the HollywoodReporter.com, we hear the movie has been shut down for reasons unknown.
Sources say:
Execs quickly began second guessing Friday the 13th, believing it would have chased the same audience, although others point out the project is on the opposite spectrum of the horror scale.
A source close to Friday the 13th would only say that
“the production was not ready to go at this date.”
Friday the 13th part 13 was due to his the street October 13th. Now I wonder if it will ever get made. It could be a question rewriting the script or disagreements with the producers and the brass. We will find out more soon, hopefully.
This is a joke. Eight films were released within 10 years from 1980 to 1989 and since then, four have been made over 28 years now. Either let Jason rest, or make a fucking movie!
If Paramount cannot get the movie made in 2017. The rights to the franchise go back to Warner Bros/New Line. I don’t like this one bit.
