The Exorcist Believer Trailer and Release Date for The Exorcist Deciever (2025)

Fans may be a little worried after Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. As David Gordon Green brings us a new Exorcist film which is also the first of a trilogy, excitement is building. The first film, which is titled ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ will be released October 13, 2023 and now we have news, it’s sequel The Exorcist: Deceiver will be Unleashed April 18, 2025.

Whether you like Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy or not, they were successful and it has been 18 years since the Exorcist has been on the big screen with Exorcist The Beginning and later Paul Schrader’s Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist. My hope is Exorcist II the Heretic and The Exorcist III will not be ignored, that would be terrible. I’m sure the events of The Exorcist TV series will be passed over. The show wasn’t bad, never gained its footing.

Synopsis:

Since the death of his pregnant wife in a Haitian earthquake 12 years ago, Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom, Jr.) has raised their daughter Angela (Lidya Jewitt) on his own.

But when Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum) disappear in the woods, only to return three days later with no memory of whathappened to them, it unleashes a chain of events that will force Victor to confront the nadir of evil and, in his terror and desperation, seek out the only person alive who has witnessed anything like it before.

I have been watching horror films since I was 6 years old. The story, one Saturday night, my mom and I were watching movies and she fell asleep on the couch. We had the channel set on HBO and the movie we were watching ended and the next one, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. This was some time in 1986. I watched then entire film, I was sitting on the edge of my seat. When my mom woke, she asked me what just ended and I told her, “Freddy”. That was all I talked about for weeks and finally she broke down and rented more horror films for me. She rented, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 2, Re-Animator, Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives and Halloween II.
