Scream Factory: The Boris Karloff/Bela Lugosi Collection

Scream Factory has announced a new 4-Disc collection of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi.  This is great news as a couple of absolute classics come to blu ray, the Black Cat and the Raven.

Joel Robinson provides the wonderful art work, as he did for the Vincent Price Collection.

Horror icons Karloff and Lugosi created some of the most memorable performances in cinematic history. Their unforgettable performances as Dracula and Frankenstein’s monster terrified a generation of moviegoers and when these two legendary actors came together for a series of films in the 1930s, audiences could not get enough. This collection includes The Black Cat (1934), The Raven (1935), The Invisible Ray (1936) and Black Friday (1940) in a 4-Disc set with a slipcover with a beautiful new illustration from artist Joel Robinson (The Vincent Price Collections).

I have been watching horror films since I was 6 years old. The story, one Saturday night, my mom and I were watching movies and she fell asleep on the couch. We had the channel set on HBO and the movie we were watching ended and the next one, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. This was some time in 1986.
