Eibon Press to Release Graphic Novel for Fulci’s ZOMBIE

Horrorphiles the world over have been raving about Eibon Press and their high quality horror comics. They are tearing up the comic world with their Fulci Comics releases, which thus far consists of Zombie (including an original continuation of the narrative) and Gates of Hell series (The House by the Cemetery will be debuting in early 2019). They do more than just Fulci comics, however. They’ve also been doing an amazing series based on the classic slasher Maniac, a series based on the cult classic alien flick Laserblast, and have put out their own original splatter filled grindhouse comic Bottomfeeder.

While 2019 is shaping up to be the biggest year for Eibon Press yet, they are certainly concluding 2018 with a bang. As announced today, they will be releasing a brand new graphic novel compiling the 4 issues of Fulci’s Zombie comic. From the press release:

In the past we’ve resisted the idea of collections, of course.  Because we want you to own and cherish our single issues the same way people love their graphic novels.  It’s why we package each issue in special sleeves with spines, so you can stack them with your GNs on the bookshelf.  But then we started thinking.  We reeeeeeeeeealy started thinking . . . “What if we finally gave them a collection, but it was the baddest, raddest, most collectible motherfucking collection on the market?”  The answer is what you see above.

We spared no expense to collect the first four issues of LUCIO FULCI’S ZOMBIE as a full graphic novel, going back to the original art files and reworking the color finishing, lettering and other technical mumbo-jumbo to create all-new image files, from which all-new offset printing plates were struck. The results, kids, is THE definitive version of LUCIO FULCI’S ZOMBIE.  The entire story of the classic film in one long seamless comic book novel, designed to blow you right away.  This is a super limited edition HARDCOVER BOOKwith only 500 copies printed and bound!  Each copy has a full color case wrap on the hard-cover itself and a removable dust jacket featuring Mike Broom’s stunning original cover art for issue #1.  At only 500 printed, this is the most limited and collectible item in Eibon History, as well as the most requested.

In true Eibon Press fashion this release will come with an insane amount of extras, inlcuding bookmarks, posters, and the like. There will be also be a RIDICULOUS super psycho fan edition that comes with way too many goodies to list in this article. Check out the pictures below, and be sure and read the original press release to make sure you don’t miss any of the gory details.

About Chuck Ransford 100 Articles
Ah now for the one thing everyone loathes...writing about themselves! Well for starters, my name is Chuck, and I am a south Jersey transplant living in Amish country. I’ve been a horror fan since 5th grade, about 16 years ago. My horror fandom started when I got my hands on a copy of Jay Anson’s novel The Amityville Horror. The book terrified me, and I knew I just had to watch the movie. An older cousin of mine had a copy of it, and that was the genesis of my obsession with the genre. Over the years I have expressed my horror fandom in many ways. Since about 2005 I have been regularly attending horror conventions. These have been great ways to amass collectibles, movies, and to meet some of my favorite celebrities. My best friend Mike and I used to run our own horror blog years ago, and we also dabbled in script writing. I am looking forward to going back to writing about horror, something I’ve always loved. When I’m not working (I work at PNC Bank), my non-horror interests are studying theology and economics, watching Japanese tokusatsu, and doing play-by-play commentary for professional wrestling. I’m also a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and singing in a Barbershop quartet. Oh, and I’m probably the biggest fan of the Golden Girls you’ll ever meet. My top 5 horror flicks (definitely subject to change): 1. Cannibal Holocaust (1980) 2. Basket Case (1982) 3. Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) 4. The Beyond (1981) 5. Dawn of the Dead (1978)
