Kickstarter: ZOMBINATRIX – She’s into whips & BRAINS!

Personally, I love backing Indie horror projects, like the Barn part II on Indiegogo.  I started following a Facebook page after I saw Justin M. Seaman back a film project called, Zombinatrix.  I have every intention of backing this project to help see it come to life.  It is an interesting concept for a zombie film that I just have to see.  With a goal of $10k, the team behind the project is just over 75% funded.  There are only a couple of weeks left and I have a good feeling we will see this movie come to life.

What I am excited about are some of the films that influenced the team.  Return of the Living Dead, The Crow and a few others.  It also looks to have the late 80s, early 90s vibe, which I love and cannot get enough of.  They have shot about 1/3 of the movie and the goal will go to help complete the project.  There are some legit F/X artists that are working on this project, including some stop-motion F/X and I am super excited.

So click this link and head over to help fund Zombinatrix.  Perhaps one day, we can get the team behind the project to come on THS Lives and talk about their movie.

ZOMBINATRIX is the hotly anticipated heavy metal horror film starring actress and scream queen, Bianca Allaine, and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Michael Kyne.

Synopsis: After Mistress Tawny (Bianca Allaine), a beautiful and popular dominatrix, is brutally murdered by an unsavory gang of thugs, she mysteriously rises from the grave to seek vengeance on her killers. As the supernatural ZOMBINATRIX, she takes great pleasure in incorporating her sadistic kinks into killing any poor soul who stands in her way. After all, she is into whips and BRAINS!

Oh and I love this poster, I need an 11×17 for my Indie Horror wall!  Go support this Kickstarter today!

I have been watching horror films since I was 6 years old. The story, one Saturday night, my mom and I were watching movies and she fell asleep on the couch. We had the channel set on HBO and the movie we were watching ended and the next one, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. This was some time in 1986. I watched then entire film, I was sitting on the edge of my seat. When my mom woke, she asked me what just ended and I told her, “Freddy”. That was all I talked about for weeks and finally she broke down and rented more horror films for me. She rented, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 2, Re-Animator, Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives and Halloween II. I watched all and fell in love with horror films forever. 5 Horror Films to Watch Inferno (1980) A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) The Beyond (1981) Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives (1986) Horror of Dracula (1958)
